UTV Racing @ ERX!

We're adding a UTV class for the final Beater-X race on Thursday, August 26th! This "UTV Sport Stock" class will be open to any stock UTV 800cc and under. It will be specifically directed at the RZR, Rhino, Prowler and Teryx. You must have a stock engine, stock suspension and your roll cage and seat belts must be in-tact. Racer Info

Vehicle Check-in anytime between 2-4pm Thursday
Hot laps 4:00-4:30pm
Mandatory driver's meeting 4:45-5:00pm (all drivers must attend)

Kids 12 & under get in free!

99” and under wheel base - 4 cylinder- front wheel drive
Over 99” wheel base – 4 cylinder – front wheel drive
Small Pick-ups – 4 and 6 cylinder – rear wheel drive
6 Cylinder front wheel drive - any wheel base

Registration: Pre-register to guarantee a spot in the action!

Pre-registration is highly recommended as this will be a limited format race and we will be forced to limit class sizes. Registration is only $30 if you register by noon the day before the race. You may register at the track the day of the race but it will run you $40 and you will not be guaranteed a place in the action. A downloadable registration form is available here.

What is Beater-X?

Beater-X, also known as Baja racing, is an entry level/grassroots form of auto racing consisting of compact cars and small trucks competing head to head on an all dirt race track. Adding to the excitement is a track layout that utilizes small rolling jumps, elevation changes, and tight corners to create an extreme form of auto racing the average guy can compete in. Cars will be lined up on a tiered starting line and race to the checkered flag. Think of it as motocross with a car! ERX will be hosting Beater-X as a Thursday night, under the lights 3 race series. Points will be awarded at each event leading up to an overall Beater-X Champion in each class.

This is the opportunity for all you NASCAR, dirt track fans to compete in an inexpensive form of auto racing. What does it take to get involved in Beater-X? Not much, all you need to get in the action is a qualifying car or truck, and a helmet!

Now is the time to start looking for your beater car or truck. Review the list below of the current class offerings as well as a handful of suggested types and models of vehicles. In order to help first time racers and car builders, ERX has lined up local welders who will outfit your vehicle with an approved roll cage system for aprox. $200 per car or truck. Take a look at our Beater-X rules page for additional information regarding vehicle requirements.

You don’t have to just be a racer to enjoy Beater-X. Spectators are encouraged to attend and cheer on your favorite Beater-X driver. Outside bleacher seating is available and you can always get out of the weather in our large hospitality tent. A wide variety of food and beverage concession will be available at the track during all three series races.
