What does ERX stand for?

Elk River Extreme Motor Park, the Midwest's premier year-round motorsports facility.

All of our snowmobile and off-road facilities are professionally built and maintained. We pride ourselves on giving our racers a world class racing experience.
Our facility is built for the fans and racers alike, just ask any one of our 30,000 yearly fans and racers.
The only race track of it's kind to offer year-round racing, including off-road, snowmobile and go kart racing. ERX also features concerts and charitable events.
We keep our admission prices low and our pits open for all-ages family fun. Our goal is to grow the sports we offer though fan engagement and offering a wide array of motorsports events.

"It was a good atmosphere with high energy and a great time with family. The track was challenging and yet gave everyone a fair ride to their ability. The location was perfect. Good times!" -Renee N.

Co-Owners, Todd Plaisted and Chris Carlson, saw hockey rinks, basketball courts and baseball fields in their hometown of Elk River, Minn. What lacked, however, was a space for their children to hone their skills on a race track. Plaisted and Carlson joined forces to provide a solution for a demand in the industry. What started as a training facility has transformed into a year-round motorsports mecca.

ERX opened its gates in 2008 and quickly became a wildly-popular snowmobile training and grassroots racing facility for youth, amateur and professional riders. Today, ERX is home to a number of the industry's premier snowmobile and off-road races.

Though the facility is rapidly growing and changing, our number one goal has remained the same: Building Champions.
